How do I find Coupons?

Finding coupons on EcoCoupons is easy. First, set your location (City, State or Zip Code) and range and click "Begin." This will take you to the homepage which displays relevant information for your current location. To browse for businesses by category, use the category navigation area on the left bar. To search for a specific business or coupon, simply type in relevant keywords in the search area at the top right of the page.

Once you have found a business, you will be taken to their business profile page which displays contact information, location, photos, and other relevant information. This page also displays the business' current coupon offerings which you can then print out, send to your phone, or clip for later.

How do I use Coupons

There are two different ways to use coupons on ecocouoons: send them to your phone, or print them. To send a coupon to your phone, simply click the "send to phone" button next to the coupon of your choice. Use this option whenever you can to save trees and reduce your carbon footprint!

To print a coupon, find the coupon you want to use and click "Print." The coupon will be displayed and ready to print instantly.

If you want to send multiple coupons to your phone or print multiple coupons at once, you can "Clip" coupons and save them to your "Coupon Basket." This will allow you to send or print multiple coupons at once or save them for later.

Why should I add business to my favorites?

Adding businesses to your favorites makes it easier to access coupon savings from your favorite local businesses. Once you add a business to your favorites, a "Favorites" category will be added to the category navigation area on the left. Any time you want to check for new coupons from your favorite businesses, you can simply visit the favorites category on the left instead of browsing through categories or searching.

Why should I subscribe to a business?

Subscribing to a business is a great way to stay up to date on your favorite business' coupon offerings. When you subscribe to a business you will receive email updates whenever your favorite business' posts a new coupons. You can specify how often you would like to receive updates and you can cancel subscriptions anytime. We will not spam your inbox with any advertising or junk mail, EVER!

What does the "Save" button do at the bottom of coupons?

The "save" button allows you to save coupons to your "Coupon Basket." It is a great way to keep track of multiple coupons at a time. Once you are finished looking for coupons, simply navigate to your "Coupon Basket" to send multiple coupons to your phone or print them out at the same time. Coupons will automatically be saved for the next time you come back and you can create a user account to save them for longer.

Can I save coupons for later?

Absolutely. Create a free user account and start saving coupons instantly. Click the "save" button at the bottom of coupons and they will be saved to your "Coupon Basket." Come back later and send them to your phone or print them out instantly. Just be sure to use your coupons before they expire!

Why can't I find coupons for the business I am looking for?

There are a few different reasons why you may have trouble finding the business you are looking for. Sometimes businesses may be listed in a different category than the one you are looking in. Try searching for the business name at the top right of the screen. The business you are looking for may not offer coupons on EcoCoupons yet. You can visit our [How to Help] page to learn how to suggest that a business start using EcoCoupons.

How do I find coupons for _______ Business?

To find coupons for a specific business, search for the business name in the search bar at the top right of the page. You can then visit the business' profile page to view their current coupon offerings. If you are still having trouble finding your business, it is possible that they are not listed on EcoCoupons yet. How can I recommend a business to post coupons on your site?

Why do you need my email address/phone number?

We ask you to provide your email address and phone number ONLY if you are creating an account. The reason we need your email address is to make sure people are not creating multiple accounts and creating "cyber waste." Storing information on the internet uses energy and resources too and at EcoCoupons we do everything possible to limit our carbon footprint. You will NEVER be spammed and you can delete your account at any time. Your personal information is secure with us.

We ask for your phone number for our "Send to Phone" feature which allows you to send coupons directly to your phone or mobile device. You do not have to provide a phone number if you do not plan on using this feature. Once again, your phone will never be spammed and your personal information is safe with us.

How can I be alerted of new coupons?

Receiving alerts for new coupons is easy. First, register a free shopper account with EcoCoupons. Once you have an account, you can click "Subscribe" on your favorite business' profile page. You can then customize your subscription options and start receiving alerts instantly!

How can I update my user information?

Once You have created a shopper account, simply login to your account and navigate to your user control panel. From here, click the "My Profile" tab on the left and update your information instantly.

How do I send coupons to my phone?

Sending coupons to your phone is fast, eco-friendly, and easy. After you have found your coupon, click the "Send" button at the bottom of the coupon you wish to send. Enter the phone number you would like to use and click "Send to Phone."

If you would like to send multiple coupons to your phone at once, click the "save" button at the bottom of the coupons you want to send it to your "Coupon Basket." When you are ready, navigate to your "Coupon Basket" and click the check boxes to the left of the coupons you would like to send to your phone and click the "Send to Phone" button at the top in the blue bar.

How do I print coupons?

Printing coupons with EcoCoupons is fast and easy. After you have found your coupon, click the "Print" button on the bottom of the coupon. Your coupon will open up in a new window ready to print.

If you would like to print multiple coupons at once, click the "save" button to at the bottom of the coupon you want to send it to your "Coupon Basket." When you are ready, navigate to your "Coupon Basket" and click the check boxes to the left of the coupons you would like to print and click the "Print" button at the top in the blue bar.

We strongly discourage using the print function unless you have no other choice. If you must print coupons, be sure to print all of them at once and to use recycled paper!

Can I print/send more than one coupon at a time?

Yes. If you would like to print or send multiple coupons at once, click the "save" button at the bottom of the coupons you want to send it to your "Coupon Basket." When you are ready, navigate to your "Coupon Basket" and click the check boxes to the left of the coupons you would like to print or send to your phone and click the "Print" or "Send to Phone" button at the top in the blue bar.

Why do I need to enter my location?

EcoCoupons is dedicated to supporting businesses in your local community. We ask for your location so that we can provide you with coupons for local businesses in your community. You can always change your location at the top of the page just to the right of the EcoCoupons logo.

I can't remember my login/password. What can I do?

If you can't remember your login and password, click the link on the login page that says "I forgot my login/password" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Why won't my coupon print out?

There are a variety of problems that could lead to your coupon not printing out. First, make sure that your printer is plugge in and turned on. Double check to make sure all connections between the printer and your computer are secure and that the proper printer drivers for your computer are installed correctly. Check that your ink cartridges are properly fitted and are not empty. If you still are not able to print, contact your printer company's technical support or consider sending the coupons to your phone (the eco-friendly option).

Why won't my coupon send to my phone?

There are a few different reasons why coupons may not be sending to your phone properly. First, make sure that your mobile service provider allows for SMS messaging. Double check that you are entering your phone number properly and that your text message inbox is not full. If you are still having problems, contact your mobile service provider's technical support to continuing troubleshooting.

Who are you guys, anyway?

EcoCoupons was founded in 2009 by Eric, Thomas, and Patricia Ressler. We are a small, family-run business dedicated to providing an easy-to-use, eco-friendly solution to coupon advertising for small businesses. We believe very strongly in sustainable business practices and are closely connected with a number of different local, eco-friendly groups and organizations. Molly Lautamo is a UCSC environmental studies graduate who writes most of the articles for our blog and makes sure we're doing everything in the most eco-friendly way possible. Does EcoCoupons really save trees?

Yes. We allow businesses who would otherwise print coupons to post them online. Shoppers can send them to their phone or print only those that they will actually use. To learn more about paper coupon and advertising waste, visit our why eco? page.

How can I stop receiving email alerts?

To stop receiving email alerts, log in to your user control panel and navigate to the "My Subscriptions" tab on the left. You can then cancel any current subscriptions that you have. We strongly believe in our no-spam policy.

How do I post coupons?

Posting coupons is easy with EcoCoupons. First, register a business account for your business and complete your business profile to give shoppers basic information about your business. You will be asked to post your first coupon offering during the registration process. Then, navigate to your user control panel and click the "My Coupons" tab on the left. Click "Post a Coupon" at the top right and fill out all of the required information to post additional coupons. It's that easy!

How much does it cost?

EcoCoupons is 100% free for shoppers and costs only $10 per month for business owners. If you would like to increase exposure for your business, we offer a variety of affordable advertising opportunities.

How do I Delete Coupons?

Make sure you are logged in to your business account and navigate to your user control panel. Click the "My Coupons" tab on the left. Select the coupons you would like to remove and click "Remove."

How do I edit my Business Profile Page?

Make sure you are logged in to your business account and navigate to your user control panel. Click the "My Business" tab on the left. Modify your information and click "Submit."

How do I check my Statistics?

EcoCoupons provides you with detailed statistics for your coupon offerings. Make sure you are logged in to your business account and navigate to your user control panel. Click the "My Statistics" tab on the left. You will be presented with business overview, specific coupon, and advertising statistics since your last visit. If you would like to change the date range, simply fill out the start and end dates at the top of the page or select a pre-defined value from the dropdown menu and click "Update."

Why can't I have a longer description for my coupon?

You are limited to 140 characters for your coupon descriptions so that they will fit into the coupon template when they are printed or sent to phones.

How can I manage my subscription information?

Make sure you are logged in to your business account and navigate to your user control panel. Click the "My Subscriptions" tab on the left. Modify your information and click "Submit."

What if I have more than one location?

You can enter multiple locations into your business profile by navigating to the "Business Profile" tab in your user control panel. Underneath your first location, click the "Add Another Location" button and fill our the required information.

How can I use the coupon code feature?

Using the coupon code feature with EcoCoupons is easy. When adding a coupon, simply check the "Use Coupon Code" option. It will automatically generate a code for you or you can enter in your own code.

How can I keep track of phone coupons?

You can enter coupon codes for your coupons that you can integrate these codes into your system and track them easily. See above for more information

How many coupons can I post?

You can post up to 50 active coupons at a time at no extra cost

How do I add pictures to my Business Profile?

You can add pictures to your business profile by navigating to the "My Business" tab in your user control panel. Scroll Down to the bottom of the page to "My Photos." From here, you will be able to add pictures from you computer instantly.

How do I link to my business' website?

You can link to you business' website by navigating to the "My Business" tab in your user control panel. From here, you will be able to add your business' website URL.

How do I link to my coupons from my website?

The easiest way to link to your coupons on EcoCoupons is to post a link to your business' profile page. We are developing a widget that will allow you to easily show your current coupon offers right on your homepage. Stay tuned!

What happens if I don't have any current coupons?

If you are not currently offering any coupons or all of your coupons are expired, you will be sent a warning email notifying you that your business listing is temporarily removed until you post new coupons. As soon as you post a new coupon, your business will appear in listings again instantly. We do not allow businesses to be listed unless they are currently offering coupons so that shoppers do not have to sort through businesses without coupons when they are browsing our site.

I can't find a relevant category or subcategory for my business. What should I do?

First, select the category and subcategory that best fits your business. Then, contact us to suggest a new category and/or sub category that best describes your business. Our team will review your request and automatically place your business in the requested category and/or subcategory if it is accepted.
